Anything involving serious surgery, specialist cardiology, oncology, or complex diagnostics typically means a flight to Singapore or Bangkok. That is not a rumor or an overcaution , it is what serious expats and insurance professionals will tell you directly. The person who does well in Bali long term tends to share a few qualities. Bali can be an excellent base. But the island does not meet you halfway on the wrong expectations. Choose the area that fits the version of your life you are already living, not the one you are planning to start.
