Hall’s career began at Marks & Spencer, where she developed a deep understanding of customer behaviour, merchandising discipline, and commercial structure. Her move to Toys “R” Us UK marked a pivotal stage. Over 12 years, Hall progressed from assistant buyer to divisional director, gaining exposure to large-scale retail management and brand stewardship. During her time there, she also served as Chairman of the Woolworths Kids First Charity, helping raise £6 million over six years to support children across the UK.

Alongside her UK role, she managed Woolworths’ Hong Kong sourcing operations, working closely with teams across China, Bangladesh, and India. She also spent time running a dot-com business between Woolworths tenures, further broadening her commercial experience during a period of rapid digital change.
Asia, Toys “R” Us, and Navigating Crisis
In 2007, Hall relocated to Asia, a move that would define the later stages of her executive career. By 2012, she had become Chief Commercial Officer for Toys “R” Us Asia, overseeing operations across Greater China and Southeast Asia.
During the Asia Lifestyle Magazine podcast, Hall spoke candidly about leading through the COVID-19 crisis, which struck during Chinese New Year in 2021. She highlighted the importance of agility, communication, and prioritising employee welfare. A central focus of Hall’s life in Phuket is her involvement with the Phuket International Women’s Club, known as PIWC. Founded in 1989, PIWC is the island’s longest-established women’s charity and supports education through scholarships for underprivileged students.
During the Asia Lifestyle Magazine podcast, Hall shared how PIWC has supported over 1,700 students, enabling access to education that would otherwise be out of reach. Many recipients have gone on to become professionals in fields such as healthcare, education, and engineering.
